Status – Ontario Framework 1987 Policy Statement 2011 update / re-write Gov’t. / PRO / OTC 2012 – draft / definition recreation is used as an umbrella term that includes trails, parks, natural spaces and community recreation facilities and encompasses a broad range of leisure pursuits including physical activity, community sport, heritage, artistic and cultural endeavours and those other activities that contribute to quality of life.
