Demand Estimation - Non Loggable Meters: Issue For the purposes of Demand Estimation – NDM algorithm profiling A sample of NDM meter points across all consumption bandings have data recording equipment installed (recorders & loggers) Sample counts need to be maintained to ensure accurate NDM profiling algorithms Identifying an increasing number of non-loggable meter installations: Meters with no ‘pulse’ connection Cheaper to purchase than loggable meters Data recording equipment cannot be installed on these sites

Demand Estimation - Non Loggable Meters: Impacts Meter replacement programmes are favouring non-loggable meters Age analysis suggests 50% of the current NDM sample will require meter replacements in 5 years Installation of replacement non loggable meters will result in the recording equipment being removed Sample sites are continuing to be terminated Replacement / new sample meter points will become increasingly difficult to identify Larger consumption bandings may be significantly affected
