Timeline March-April Session 1 Introduction to the module Research, fact finding, brain storming, collect & collate information, etc. Formulate a research question Project topics/titles Complete the research interest registration form Session 2 Presentations by new computing staff Meet staff - discuss, hand over the registration form once approved & signed Upload a copy on Nile

TimeLine – First Term Weeks 1 to 4 By end of week 6 Week 7-8 Attend common lectures + preparation activities you will find all relevant material on Nile E.g. proposal template with completion guidelines Submit your Proposal on due date* By end of week 6 Initial Project Review and feedback with supervisor Week 7-8 Second markers assigned Project list published * Date to be confirmed at the start of term

Timeline - Second Term January Assessment Week Revision Week(optional) Submit a “progress” Report* and Present** to your Revision Week(optional) Project Report Structure Preview (Possible Project presentation) * This is, typically, the first few chapters of your dissertation. NOT a separate report **This is a rehearsal of the end of year Viva
