Howard Gardner. 1943- What to make of all of this? I say, pay one's respect to school and to IQ tests, but do not let them dictate one's judgment about an individual's worth or potential. In the end, what is important is an individual's actual achievements in the realms of work and personal life. ~ Howard Gardner, Extraordinary Minds, p. 42

‘My mind was really opened when I went Harvard College and had the opportunity to study under individuals…who were creating knowledge about human beings. That helped set me on the course of investigating human nature, particularly how humans think.’

‘Until 1983, I wrote primarily for other psychologists and expected that they would be the principal audience for my book.’

Award winning Author of 26 academic books continuing his research as Hobbs Professor of Cognition and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Professor of Neurology at Boston School of Medicine.

Gardener’s Multiple Intelligence Theory: Gardener said “We are all able to know the world through language, logical mathematical analysis, spatial representation, musical thinking, kinesthetic learning, an understanding of others (interpersonal) and an understanding of ourselves (intrapersonal) Gardener says these differences challenge the education system that assumes everyone can learn in the same way. He argues that a contrasting set of assumptions is more likely to be educationally effective. This means students and society as a whole could benefit from learning and being assessed in a variety of ways.
