BHS Credit Requirements English 4 credits Social Studies 4 credits (1 credit in U.S. History required Junior year & ½ credit in Civics required Senior year) Mathematics 4 credits Science 3 credits (2 Lab Sciences strongly recommended) (3 years of Science are required and a minimum of 3 credits) World Language 1 credit (2-3 credits in World Language strongly recommended) Career & Technical Education -and/or- Fine Arts 2 credits Physical Education/Health 2 credits CAPSTONE 1 credit Additional Credits 4 credits TOTAL 25 credits
In addition, students must demonstrate a proficiency in: Critical Thinking Communication Creative & Practical Problem Solving Citizenship Locally & Globally Self-Direction
Students must also complete: Education / Career Portfolio Health / Physical Education Portfolio 50 Hours of Community Service Senior Capstone Project
College Credit Available Manchester Community College credit available in English, Math, Science, Art, Business, Technology Education, and Family & Consumer Science Courses.
College Credit Available University of Connecticut credit available in Social Studies, English, Child Development, and Science courses through the UCONN Early College Experience.
