Solstice All Options Gas Fired Fryer Service Presentation (CE-UK) Performance, Efficiency, Easy to Own SG AllOpts

New To Pitco The igniter board is energized only once a day (when temp. control is turned on). Reduces wear on the matchless ignition. Computer is exposed to less noise . Pilot remains on. Quick burner response. Less chance of lock out. Computer,Digital & Manual S/state controls have same plug/pin configuration. One wiring diagram for all. SG AllOpts

Gas Supply to fryer Burner pressure - Check at either test nipple. (LP/G31-25mbar, Nat/G20 - 10mbar) Supply Pressure - Check at lower test nipple on gas valve (LP/G31 - 37mbar, Nat/G20, 15-24mbar) Manual shut off valve on each fryer Valve is “plated” at 1/2psi max = 13.5”WC= 33.5mbar Querying with Pitco. SG AllOpts

Electrical supply to fryer Entrance Box Accepts 115VAC or 230VAC, selected by “locked” slide switch, into IEC320 plug. Outputs: 24VAC for controls, Line volts via IEC320 socket to link to next fryer, Line volts via 3pin Molex for Opt’l Basket Lifts, Also passes 24VDC”thru” for Basket Lift Control 120 or 208 or 230VAC is plugged into the entrance box. The switch is set to the supplied voltage. The transformer steps the voltage down to 24VAC. The temperature control will output 24VDC to Heat demand & Side on relays when required. This fryer does not use mill. Volts Transformer - PP10429 SG AllOpts

“Matchless” Ignition Pilot Spark gap 7/64¨1/64” Spark probe also acts as Flame sensor probe. Pilot lights when K3 “Side On” Relay is energised & stays lit if correctly sensed. Heat Demand then energises Main coil of gas valve The igniter will spark for 90 seconds and lock out if flame is not established. If the pilot is burning for 45 seconds or more and a lock out occurs the igniter will try one more time. SG AllOpts

Pilot lights the Main burners On the all option fryer the pilot is lit by spark igniter. The pilot remains lit all day waiting at the ready for a call for heat. When a call comes voltage is supplied to the gas valve. Gas is then supplied to the burners which is lit by the pilot. SG AllOpts

Control Circuit 1 1. External Power Switch energizes transformer. 2. Voltage is stepped down to 24VAC & current flows though fuse F1 (2 Amp Slo-Blow). Voltage and current are traced though the fryer using the verbiage and block diagram in conjunction with the colors. For pin numbers and wire colors the actual wiring diagram is needed. SG AllOpts

Control Circuit 2 3. Current branches from F1: A. Power led is energized B. Power flows thru’ the drain switch to both DVI pins if drain switch is closed. The DVI switch is a magnetic switch mounted on the drain valve. This switch is impervious to oil. It can have up to .4” between the sensor and actuator but it must be in alignment. SG AllOpts

Control Circuit 3 3. Current also branches from F1: C. Power flows to the back up thermostat 24VACH pin. D. If the control transfer switch is set to MAIN power flows to the main temp. control. The back up thermostat is an option for Computer fryers SG AllOpts

Control Circuit 4 3. Current also branches from F1: Power flows to the common contact of K3 “Side On” Relay on the relay board SG AllOpts

New To Pitco The igniter board is energized only once a day (when temp. control is turned on). Reduces wear on the matchless ignition Computer is exposed to less noise Pilot remains on. Less chance of lock out Quick burner response

Control Circuit 5 Turn on the Temp. control 24VDC out of pin 9 “Side On” while temp control powered & DVI closed. Energises Relay K3 on relay board 24VAC Power flows thru’ K3’s contacts Thru’ the high limit to Ignition board Spark & pilot valve energized Pilot lights & stays lit while temp control pin 9 outputs 24VDC The actual pin numbers and colors can be found on the wiring diagram. SG AllOpts

Control Circuit 6 Ignition board Maintains the pilot Outputs 24VAC from MV pin which feeds the common contact on K1 Heat demand relay. Robertshaw module has LED which flashes if fault - fault code not yet known! SG AllOpts

Control Circuit 7 If actual temp is below setpoint, Temp.Control outputs 24VDC to energize K1, Heat demand relay & led. 24VAC flows thru’ K1 contacts to energize the main valve. 24VAC also supplied to heat feed back pins on temp controller(s). SG AllOpts

Solstice All Options Transformer Some options may require two transformers.

Solstice All Options Drain Switch (DVI) The drain switch option comes standard on fryers equipped with either a computer or a digital controller. This option helps prevent dry firing. If used with a computer the display will say draining when the drain valve is opened and say turn off after valve is closed. The fryer will not heat once the valve has been opened & then shut until the fryer is reset by turning it off and back on. SG AllOpts

Solstice All Options Temperature Controls The different controllers are interchangeable. Therefor the service man can carry any one on his truck to get a fryer up and running until a replacement can be obtained. Controllers have black fascia to distinguish from existing Intellifry & Solid state controls & are not interchangeable SG AllOpts

Universal Control Harness Solstice Control Options Solid State Control - Available with Matchless Ignition 1 year warranty Greater Temperature Control +/ 2°F reactivity from set temperature Melt Cycle Built In Boil Out Built In Back up option allows the Solid State control to function as a back up to the Digital Controller or the I12 Computer Control.
