The big society We are clear that the voluntary and community sectors play, and will continue to play, a significant role in reforming services for children, young people and families. We are, therefore, opening up public services to enable the voluntary sector to become better involved in delivering key services. It is not yet possible at this early stage to say how much of the overall DfE budget will go to the voluntary sector. We are still working through the detail of the SR settlement and implications for policy and programme areas. Details will follow in due course.
