For modification of the Maze procedure, cryoablation was added at the muscular floor between the coronary sinus and the dimple of the atretic tricuspid (1). In patients with atrial flutter, the common pathway of electrical circuits was cryoablated within the right atrium (2). Maneuver onto the muscular floor between the coronary sinus and the dimple of the atretic tricuspid was deemed essential also in this setting.
