Thermostat Nomenclature The thermostat nomenclature can be confusing to even the seasoned HVAC professional. Many are unaware of what the combination of numbers and letters mean. This confusion can sometimes lead to purchasing the wrong thermostat; a wasteful and frustrating mistake. But, this mistake can be easily avoided by remembering just a few key codes. ? ? ?
