Computer Effects on Teenagers What We Learned By: Kenzie Soutdalany Class: BTT10 – Information and Communication Technology Date: November 21, 2016

Introduction In this project, we are surveying teenagers at Sir John A MacDonald on their usage of computers.

Most Interesting Result We found it interesting that students using inappropriate language in computers at school cause violence and a distraction from the teacher. 83.3% of people said Yes, while 16.7% of people said maybe it will cause violence at school?

Actual Data

Summary of the Computer Effects on Teenagers 83% of the students have a computer that is a personal computer. 17% of the students have a computer that is an Apple MacBook.

Conclusion What does those trends mean for society? Students agreed that they have personal computers at home. However students don’t bring their personal computer at the school because they have a school assigned iPad. How can we deal with any negative trends about computers? Students should shut down their computers when it is nearing the end of class. Whose responsibility it is to make any necessary change regarding this issue? Students should take the responsibility. For example, students should not use their computers when the teacher is talking.
