HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT— MRP PROBLEMS Now try problems 1, 3, and 5 (parts a, c, and d) on pp. 681-682 in your textbook. Answers to these problems are on the slides that follow. Note that problem 5 is very challenging, and will be done in detail in class.

Note: G is equivalent to G(1) and H is equivalent to H(1) F(2) G H J(2) D(4) L(2) J(2) A(4) D(2) J: 2 x 2 = 4 L: 1 x 2 = 2 A: 1 x 4 = 4 D: 2 x 4 = 8 J: 1 x 2 = 2 D: 1 x 2 = 2 Note: G is equivalent to G(1) and H is equivalent to H(1) Simply increase the size of the screen to read this slide. Totals: F = 2; G = 1; H = 1; J = 6; D = 10; L = 2; A = 4

Total: 110 + 50 + 200 = 360 3b. The longest lead time is 7 weeks. Thus, 8 – 7 = 1, the beginning of week 1.
