Hyenas By: Emily Mahler 

Physical Traits It’s teeth help bit/kill prey. It’s long thick neck provides a highly muscular structure that complements the powerful cutting and ripping movements.

Behavior Adaptations The Hyena communicates using a high pitch scream that is too high for humans to hear. They have strong jaws which can crush bones or even tusks. Long tongues to lick bark of trees and to eat ants.

Diet Hyena’s eat about anything. Their favorite food is Wildebeests and Zebras Oh yeah…… they are Carnivores.

Ecosystem/Habitat It lives in Southern Africa and its habitat is in Savannahs, Grasslands, Woodlands, and Mountains up to 13,000 ft. It’s Climate is warm and dry. ( Rainy conditions in the Winter and Summer ranges to 27 Celsious.

Food Chain Mostly pred- itor. It hunts pretty much ANYTHING.
