Disposal Facilities for Countries without Nuclear Programme Dr. J. Feinhals Dr. A. Savidou D. Kemp What will happen with the radioactive waste in countries, that do not have NPPs but have radioactive waste from medical, industrial and research facilities as well as from research reactors? Solutions for disposal facilities are planned for large amounts of radioactive waste. They are in general too big, costly and not commensurate for small amounts. Some alternatives to dispose of LILW from countries without NPP Use of a multinational disposal facility Use of long-term storage at the surface Use of a landfill facility for toxic waste Use of a borehole disposal facility Use of a mine/tunnel already used Individual national solution for a small scale disposal facility 14.04.2019 DMT Präsentation
