Thursday, November 19th and Friday, November 20th Standard 2 and 3 No Reading Quiz! Happy Thanksgiving! Vocabulary words for unit 3; Page 34-36 Is vocab books. Write the word and definition. Go over discussion questions WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Activity Level Questions – Write two of each level question about the book (6 questions total) and answer them yourself in complete and detailed sentences. Bring with you next class. Socratic Circle next class Read Chapters 7-end over break.

Discussion Questions Ch. 1 Who or what is the antagonist in this story? What does Equality look like? Compare the home of the infants, home of students, and home of street sweepers? Why is Equality please with his life mandate? Why are friends forbidden? What is ironic about the social meeting? Describe the government and institutions where Equality lives.

Ch. 2 8. What word is Equality struggling to recapture on page 49? 9. In your opinion, why is mentioning this word the only crime punishable by death in this society? How does this word contradict the ideals of this society? What could its rediscovery possibly lead to? Ch. 3 10. What does Equality discover in this chapter? 11.
