AVID Senior Data – Mr. Destro Based on 2015 AVID Senior Data - a study of 40,122 AVID seniors 92% reported plans to attend a postsecondary institution 61% to a four-year college 31% to a two-year college 77% reported taking at least one rigorous high school course (e.g., AP, IB, or Cambridge), with 65% taking the corresponding exam

What is college readiness? - Mr. Destro the level of preparation a student needs in order to enroll and succeed—without remediation—in credit-bearing general education coursework at a college or university. students understand what is expected in a college course, can cope with the content knowledge presented, can take away from the course the key intellectual lessons, and have both the mindset and disposition necessary to enable understanding. AVID helps students develop a vision for their future, gain confidence in their abilities, and take ownership of their learning.
