All is fair in love and war: Things that are done in love or war can often be excused. So everything is okay, if it is done for love or in war. All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy: Everybody needs a certain amount of relaxation. It is not good to work all the time. Don’t judge a man until you’ve walked a mile in his shoes: Sometimes people criticise each other. But it's not fair to criticise someone else if you haven't had the same experiences. Don’t talk the talk, if you can’t walk the walk: You shouldn't brag about being able to do something if you can't actually do it. Haste makes waste: When you try to work too quickly, you make mistakes. That can waste time, money, or materials. So slow down. If you snooze, you lose: You have to act quickly to get the things you want Look before you leap: Make decisions carefully. Don't make a decision without thinking about it and researching it carefully. You can’t have the cake and eat it too: This means that you can't have everything you want. There are trade-offs in life. You need to make choice or compromises as you don’t get everything.
