Presentation transcript:

EE #10: Water Debate T/F Review for Friday’s Quiz. If false, change the underlined word. Economics is the study of money. Wood is an example of a capital resource. The key economic problem is that there isn’t enough. This is known as scarcity. Marginal means an additional unit. The thing that you chose NOT to do is called scarcity.

Water Scarcity How much do water do you use each and every day? http://ga.water.usgs.gov/edu/sq3.html

Do you agree or disagree with the above statement. Explain. The government should mandate less water usage. Each household would be allowed 80 gallons per person per day. Any water used over that amount will triple the price of water. Do you agree or disagree with the above statement. Explain.

Partner Up! Make a pro-con t-chart. Include 3 arguments for each side.

Debate! Be open minded. Listen to all statements and consider both sides. Move to the other side if a particular argument sways your thinking. Don’t acknowledge any movement. No name calling. “What happens in here, stays in here.”

Debate Summary Now that the debate is over, wrap up your final feelings on this subject. Do you agree? Disagree? Are you somewhere in the middle? Which arguments convinced you?
