Ice Breakers for Change Management

Cross Your Arms Ask employees to cross their arms. When they are comfortable, ask them to cross their arms the other way. Ask why the second attempt might have felt uncomfortable, even though it’s basically the same action. Cross Your Arms

Allow participants to sit wherever they want… then have them move to another seat. Ask them to think about the new perspective. After a minute, tell them they can sit wherever they like… and watch what they choose. Changing Places

Ups and Downs of Change Read aloud a term from the pdf below Ask employees to raise their hand if the term elicits a positive response & then again for negative response. Observe the room. Does everyone agree? Why? Link: https://change.walkme.com/wp- content/uploads/2015/01/The-Ups-and-Downs.pdf Ups and Downs of Change

Hang up four signs: one each for fox, lion, bird and turtle. Ask participants to stand by the animal that best describes how the participant reacts to change. Ask each participant why each identifies with that animal. Fox, Turtle, Lion & Bird
