Honours College Set-up seminars Each seminar consists of four meetings. Example of the content of each meeting: Meeting 1: introduction to the research of the professor Meeting 2: in-depth discussion of current literature in the research field Meeting 3: organized by students Meeting 4: Assignment In the final seminar, organized by the students, they share their new knowledge. 11 April 2019
Selection procedure and timeline Honours College Selection procedure and timeline Application requirement: bachelor GPA of 7.0 or higher Deadline submission application form: September 10th. Interviews: September 18th and/or 19th Start first seminar: begin October 2017 Final Seminar: begin June 2018 All seminars will take place in the evening (7pm-9pm) Studyload: 7,5 ECTS NB: schedule is not yet available. Sent an email to honourscollege@uu.nl to get the latest information. Selection criteria ia GPA of 7.5 or higher, but motivation is also important. Generally I recommend to students with a 7 or higher to apply, lower grades I tend to encourage less. 11 April 2019

Students say… “In my Master’s I wanted to look for a little extra. As a History student I have only associated with other Humanities students, so I thought it would be a nice challenge to work together with students of for instance Science or Psychology. Probably the best thing was the group involvement: meeting and discussing our ideas together. Moreover, what I’ve learned about speaking in public is really useful. You will notice you have to know a subject inside out to be able to speak about it in front of an audience that is not familiar with your field of research.” 11 April 2019
