Matter can neither be created or destroyed but change from one form to the next. The process by which plants & algae take CO2, H2O, & sunlight to make sugar and oxygen Types of matter that organisms require for their bio -chemical processes. The cycle that relies on bacteria to convert atmospheric nitrogen to fixable nitrogen that organism can use in their life processes. The cycles involved in circulating nutrients (material) throughout the environment. Process by which certain bacteria convert nitrogen gas to ammonia (which is more usable by producers). The process by which organisms use oxygen to use the chemical energy of sugars and release CO2 and H2O. Process in which fixed nitrogen compounds are converted back into nitrogen gas and returned to the atmosphere. The movement of phosphorus throughout the environment in low amounts. (mostly in living things, rocks, and water) A nutrient required for the growth of an organism but available in a lower quantity than other nutrients.
