Location Describes where a place is. Location can be exact – using latitude and longitude, or relative – using directions from other places.

The average weather of a place over many years. Climate The average weather of a place over many years.

Useful materials found in the environment. Natural Resources Useful materials found in the environment.

The number of people per unit of land. Population Density The number of people per unit of land. Urban – an area with high population density (city). Rural – an area with low population density (country).

The exchange, or buying and selling, of goods and services. Trade The exchange, or buying and selling, of goods and services.
