Editing Photographs

Is a photograph a bitmap or a vector image? Why do you think this?

Objectives To understand how to use bitmap tools to edit images and merge them together to create a montage All students will use the bitmap tools to edit a photograph Most students will merge 2 images together to create a montage Some students will merger more than 2 images to create a more detailed montage. Outcomes

Your task Be sensible with your choices Choose 2 images from the internet Save them into your ICT folder Open Fireworks and open both images Be sensible with your choices

Import the Images Open Fireworks Canvas of 1000 by 1000 Fire / Import / Choose image

Cut part of the Image Zoom in to the part you want to copy Use the Marquee tool to draw round it Right-click, select new bit map via copy Press the Enter key Click the arrow selector Move your new part of the image.

Layers We use layers to make up an image. Every part of an image should be on a separate layer Be organised - Name your layers
