Genalog Ltd Genalogs Cable Assembly Capabilities

Genalog Cable Assemblies: At Genalog we are able to supply manufactured cable assemblies in the same way as individual components through a host of purchasing programs such as; consignment stock, KANBAN and others. Customers can be confident that this will reduce their onsite inventory and also reduce their commitment to finished goods.

Genalog Cable Assemblies: Part of being a specialist distributor for connectors, cable, wire and associated products is being able to offer services that competitors will not or cannot offer in order to meet our customers ever changing requirements. With the expansion of our Assembly services, we manufacture cable assemblies in- house to customers drawings, requirements and much more. There has been investment in various automatic cable preparation equipment including the Schlueniger 9300.

Genalog Cable Assemblies: Investing in this equipment allows us to supply reels of cable and wire to customers but in a prepared state, in the form of accurate cut lengths with specified strip lengths on each end. The equipment allows us to keep the slug on the end of the wire to avoid any fraying during transport. Not only does this reduce the labour content with the customer, at no extra charge, it also keeps a uniform accurate cut and strip which is only possible with this type of equipment.

Genalog Cable Assemblies: In addition to our cable value added services, we can also offer pin headers and socket strips. Our MC1000 machine is able to cut a comprehensive range of pin headers and sockets, any size, any pitch any mounting style – ex stock, with no minimum order quantity or pack size restrictions. Some of our other services include supplying heat shrink and PVC tubing pre-cut in specified lengths and batch sizes. This can be sold in 100ft or 500ft reels but supplied as required.

Our Cable Assemblies: At Genalog we are able to supply manufactured cable assemblies in the same way as individual components through a whole host of purchasing programs such as KANBAN, POURS, JIT, Consignment stock and others. Customers can be confident that this will reduce their onsite inventory and also reduce their commitment to finished goods, resulting in an overall reduced commitment should assemblies be up-issued.

Genalog Cable Assemblies: The introduction of UL approval and ongoing investment in production equipment, production software and key personnel has strengthened our position in this market. With our emphasis on design-in the ability to manufacture cable assemblies and box builds has proved invaluable to many of our customers.

Genalog Cable Assemblies: We accommodate a number of audits/vendor inspections by our key, blue- chip, customers and are independently audited by both BSI and UL on a regular basis. Customers can be confident that in addition to ISO and UL approvals, all of our production staff have been trained and certificated to IPC/WHMA-A-620. We now have an in house qualified trainer who can help to ensure that all production staff are trained to the standards required to carry out cable assemblies.

Genalog Cable Assemblies: We build in batches of 1 to 1000s and supply harness to a whole raft of different markets, from very basic single wire assemblies to highly complex, laced looms for Military, Medical and Transport applications. Automated production equipment has reduced manufacturing times and we are successfully securing business that may have otherwise gone offshore. Every cable assembly manufactured in-house is inspected to specific approvals and tested using equipment such as the Cirrus 1000H+ (capable of testing insulation resistance up to 1kV). Inspection of our facilities and capabilities is welcomed.
