Year 4- Pop Art (Candy) SHAPE + COLOUR

Why are we studying this? This project will help us to understand - what Pop Art is - what “Shape” is - what “Bold and Flat Colours” are We will learn how to - draw with “clean” lines - apply flat colour with colour pencils and oil pastel

How can we recognize LICHTENSTEIN’S work? What can you see? Shapes? Colours? Patterns? Explain what you like: I like… because…

Create a drawing of a LICHTENSTEIN STYLE WORD Things to remember… Sketch very lightly first Then apply pressure to create a “clean” line Keep the pressure on your colour pencil consistent so that the colour appears “flat”

Create an oil pastel drawing of a Zoomed in section of a candy wrapper Things to remember… Sketch very lightly first Then apply pressure to create a “clean” line Keep the pressure on your oil pastel consistent so that the colour appears “flat” Overlap colours if they should blend

Evaluation CHAT… During this project I learned about… I learned how to… I enjoyed… I am proud of…
