Electronic Circuit-II Chapter 5

Topics in the Chapter 5 (5) Active Filters Basic Filter Responses, Active Low Pass Filters, Active High pass Filters, Active Band pass filters, Active Band Stop Filter.

Also filters are used to remove unwanted (noise) signals. FILTER DEFINATION Also filters are used to remove unwanted (noise) signals.

Broadly there are four types of Filters. Low Pass Filter (LPF) High Pass Filter (HPF) Band Pass Filter (BPF) Band Stop Filter (BSF)

Low pass filters.(lpf) Low Pass Filter allows only low frequency signal to pass through it and filters / rejects / stops / attenuates all other high frequency signals. fc is called cut off frequency. Note:- LPF allows signals of frequencies below cutoff frequency.

Low pass filter response

High pass filter (hpf) High Pass Filter allows only High frequency signal to pass through it and filters / rejects / stops / attenuates all other Low frequency signals fc is defined as the cutoff frequency. Note :- HPF allows signals of frequencies beyond cutoff frequency.
