Borrowing Process Book equipment in advance Do all necessary pre-production planning and work Borrow equipment Take photos Upload and clear camera memory Return equipment SFU This workshop presentation can be found at Still Camera Workshop
Borrowing Book for the current or following week online No for booking request Having trouble booking? Borrowing You can pick up booked equipment between 1:00pm and 3:00pm Loan Period is overnight (1 day) for IAT 100 camera Return before 12:00pm noon (Friday loans are due Monday) Keep your receipt for the correct due date and time Check all components are included and in working order before leaving the Library SFU This workshop presentation can be found at Still Camera Workshop
Returning Make sure all kit components are returned Return to the library staff – DO NOT LEAVE THE ITEM ON THE COUNTER Receive confirmation from staff that all items on your account are checked in Notify staff of any damaged or missing parts Return on time Late fees $3 per HOUR, up to a maximum of $200 total SFU This workshop presentation can be found at Still Camera Workshop
General Responsibilities Assemble and test all equipment before leaving the Library Use equipment at your own risk Know how to operate the equipment correctly Minimize wear and tear on the equipment Notify a Library staff member immediately if the equipment is not working properly Return the equipment on time so other students can borrow it SFU This workshop presentation can be found at Still Camera Workshop
Equipment Damage and Loss You are responsible for any equipment you borrow You will have to pay for the repair or replacement of equipment damaged while on loan to you Camera repairs generally range from $50 -$300 You will have to pay the full replacement cost of any equipment that is lost or stolen while it is on loan to you Camera replacement generally ranges from $500 -$2500 SFU This workshop presentation can be found at Still Camera Workshop

Basic Camera Operation Turning the camera ON/OFF Olympus press the ON/OFF button Lumix push the ON/OFF switch Olympus XZ-1Lumix DMC-FZ18
Viewing and Deleting Olympus XZ-1 To VIEW, press the PLAYBACK button. Use the 4-way controller to cycle through images. To DELETE, press the down button of the 4-way controller, and select ERASE. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 To VIEW, switch to PLAYBACK on the shooting dial. Use the 4-way controller to cycle through images. To DELETE, press the TRASH button and confirm the removal.
Packing up Erasing the memory card Olympus XZ-1 To FORMAT, press the PLAYBACK button, then press the MENU button. Use the 4- way controller to ERASE, then press OK. Select ALL ERASE and confirm. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 To FORMAT, switch to PLAYBACK on the shooting dial. Press MENU/SET button and use the 4-way controller to FORMAT and confirm. Make sure the camera is turned off when placed in the case Make sure all camera components and accessories are included Return on time
