March 7 & 8, 2019 Celebrate is back! All employees are invited and encouraged to attend. (Note: Employees includes faculty and staff.) This appreciation event is a wonderful opportunity for the VUMC community to come together for three events in one! New location: the Vanderbilt Indoor Practice Field which is fully enclosed and has climate control! March 7 & 8, 2019

Medical Center Address This year’s theme is: The Difference WE Make Every Day! It will include a 75- minute program Dr. Balser will deliver his annual State of the Medical Center address, We will have an entertaining and inspirational program, and There will be food and refreshments immediately following the program. Vanderbilt University Indoor Multipurpose Facility Thursday, March 7 10:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 8 There are 3 identical sessions to accommodate everyone’s schedule. (NOTE: We ask managers to help rotate schedules and work with staff, so that everyone can attend one of the sessions.) The event will take place in the Vanderbilt University Indoor Multipurpose Facility, also known as the Indoor Football Field. (2700 Children’s Way) It is climate-controlled, located on campus and has plenty of room for us! Vanderbilt University Indoor Multipurpose Facility (Indoor Football Field)

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION: IF YOU WORK…. On Campus Park in your normal spot & hop the “Celebrate Express” shuttle Off Campus & plan to drive Carpool and park in the 25th Avenue Garage (1400 25th Ave South) Regarding Parking and Transportation….. If you work on campus, park in your normal parking area and hop on the "Celebrate Express," a special shuttle service to get you to the event. Pickups start an hour before each event and will run approximately every 5 minutes from the Children's Hospital shuttle pickup/drop off shelter on Children’s Way and the Medical Center North, Round wing area. Return service is also provided after the event.   If you work off campus and plan to drive to campus. (This includes employees who work at 3401 West End, 3322 West End, 2525 West End, or Crystal Terrace). Please make it a team experience and invite your co-workers to carpool!  Please park in the 25th Avenue Garage (1400 25th Avenue South, Nashville, 37232).  Parking attendants will present at the entrances of the garage to assist you. If you work off campus and would like to request a shuttle to the event. (This includes employees who work at 3401 West End, 3322 West End, 2525 West End, or Crystal Terrace). Please reserve a seat on the shuttle by contacting vumcparkingandtransportation@vumc.org no later than February 22nd to request transportation.  Please include the session you will be attending, as well as your work location.  Requests will be evaluated and responses will be sent the week of February 25th.   Off Campus & want to request a shuttle Email by Feb. 22 vumcparkingandtransportation@vumc.org

EMPLOYEES WILL BE SENT A REGISTRATION LINK IN EARLY JANUARY Registration is required for everyone. (NOTE: Even leaders, who are volunteering at the event, are required to register.) Registration is even more important for this Celebrate event as it will give us a count of people to ensure there are picnic meals for everyone. Deadline to register is February 21st. The first week of January, all employees will receive an email with a link to registration. We are counting on managers to help employees register, and registering is easy.
