HIV AND AIDS DEFINITIONS HIV-’’human immunodeficiency virus, a retrovirus which causes AIDS.’’ AIDS-’’a disease in which there is a severe loss of the body's cellular immunity, greatly lowering the resistance to infection and malignancy.’’

WHAT IS A VIRUS? HOW DOES A VIRUS REPRODUCE? VIRUS-’’a harmful or corrupting influence.’’ - A VIRUS MULTIPLAYS BY TAKING OVER THE HOST CELL THEN USE THE CELLS internal machinery TO MAKE NEW VIRUSES. This makes the immune system to weak to fight off infections

WHERE DOES THE VIRUS COME FROM? Most of the different types of hiv came from afric and was brought to eourope then traveled other places

How is it contracted? The virus hiv comes from sexual intercourse, urine,saliva and sweat. You get aids by having hiv.

How long does it take to develop aids? For HIV it takes about three months after you have become infected to develop HIV an it takes about 10 on average to develop aids.

How many people died to date worldwide? More then 200 people die every hour. But over 36 million people have died from hiv aids.

How many people are infected worldwide? 36.7 million people are diagnosed with hiv aids .

How many people have died in the U.S.? The amount of people that died from hiv aids in the U.S. is 1.1 million. But dropped 35% in 2013

What are some treatments? There are drugs that have that they could inject to weaken this hiv but it will never fully get rid of this . These drugs will elongate your life.

MY CONCLUSION. AIDS is developed by HIV after about ten years and a lot of people are living with this today and a lot of people have died and are dying from it today there are treatments to help with this though.
