Carbon Cycle -Living things depend on nonliving things for life -At the organism level, living things depend on natural resources, and at the molecular level, they depend on chemical cycles

Carbon Cycle -Carbon and other elements are recycled back and forth between organisms and their environments -carbon, among other elements, is necessary for life as it is the one of the main raw materials for organic matter

Carbon Cycle -the recycling of carbon occurs through respiration (exhaling of CO2), the excretion of waste products, and the death of organisms -sources of carbon include: -combustion -death/decomposition -volcanoes -life; respiration (CO2) -places where carbon gets taken in: -plants -ocean -air
