Character Collage Song of the Trees Show how much you have learned about the characters from THE NOVELLA, Song of the Trees. Follow the directions to complete the activity: Make a list of 10 words that describe one of the major characters in the story. Think of character traits of the character. Open the Pic Collage app on the iPad. Tap the center of the screen to create a new collage. Add your name by tapping on the screen and choosing “add text.” Make a collage by adding photos that describe your character and/or his/her character traits. You may insert pictures from internet or pictures from the camera. Continue completion of the collage by adding words and text that describe or name character traits. When your collage is complete, tap the arrow button on the bottom right corner. Choose the “save to camera roll” option. Complete a second character collage for a second major character in the story. This task uses: Common Core/NG Standard(s): CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.7.6 Analyze how an author develops and contrasts the points of view of different characters or narrators in a text.
