What is needed to get south-south co-operation well established and sustained? Which areas will there be significant shifts in south- south cooperation in 5 and 10 years? How regions manage huge differences in country capacities while at the same time seeking out regional champions? How to avoid regional co-operation being limited by political constraints? What are the practical issues for national statisticians in providing regional statistical leadership (e.g., demand on their time, country responsibility vs. regional commitment, long days out of office, etc.) ?
