District Director Structure in Florida 28 SHRM Chapters 10 District Directors State Council President-Elect Home Chapter + Neighboring Chapter Examples (St. Lucie, Treasure Coast and South Brevard) HR Florida Council has 28 chapters throughout the State. Currently, there are 10 DD’s geographically assigned by their home chapter. Typically, all DD’s have served their term as president and past-president of their local chapter. Our primary responsibility is to provide leadership and communication to the 28 chapters in respect to Council goals and objectives while promoting SHRM membership among members and other individuals supportive of the HR Profession. Under the direction of the State Council President-elect, DD’s are responsible and accountable for the planning, organizing, managing all activities related to the Council’s annual Volunteer Leadership Conference.
