Continuing challenges regarding previous “findings” : None

Challenges with specific LCME “standards”: ER11 Some resources at affiliate institutions are not readily available ER12 lack of training access at affiliate sites including training of faculty in new teaching methods and resources

Highlights of Responses to Guide to Self Study Questions: We have improved our resources since the last LCME visit The staff of the library and IT are doing a good job with limited resources

Overall Strengths: The library staff are responsive to the needs of the students and faculty when possible within the budget The quality and quantity of library material is adequate The IT department is responsive and resources have improved greatly since the last visit

Overall Challenges: Increasing the library budget to at least the peer group average Improving access to journals at affiliate sites and increasing seat licenses for some software to be used by large groups simultaneously Lack of study space in the library and throughout the institution Limited number of rooms for small group presentations that have suitable av equipment and data jacks also lack of data base and reservation system that indicates equipment available for various rooms Lack of training of faculty on new teaching methodologies, particularly at affiliate institutions

Comments Regarding Process: The process worked fine. The committee met several times and also set up a discussion board to allow input over the network.
