A 3 K A 1 K A K A K Record the score for each bout in the column for that team. 3 for a win, 1 for a draw. For example, shown here are a win for A against A and a draw between K and A. I deliberately don’t put zeros for lost bouts or keep a running score of the total. Competitive groups will add up their own scores as they go, less successful groups don’t need to be demotivated by having it spelt out that they are the whipping boys of the tournament. A good finale is to have a play off between the two top teams. At Wymondham High, we had three teams all with 8 points, so they argued in a triangle. The three-way question one of them came up with was “squares, circles or triangles”.
