I= IDENTIFY Objects or conditions within 12-15 seconds ahead that could.interfere with your planned path of travel Think about what you are seeing.

OBJECTS Signs & Signals Roadways Motorized vehicles Non-motorized vehicles

P= PREDICT What action or change in condition could increase level of RISK. Try to predict what you identify

D= DECIDE What action to take at least 4-5 seconds ahead to control or reduce Risk. How to best minimize risk of a collision.

E= EXECUTE Your decision Routine Emergency
