Secrets Can secrets be both good and bad?

Your Body Belongs to You... Some secrets should never be kept. When Lord Henry started to tickle Alfred in a way that he did not like, was Alfred right to tell him to stop? When Lord Henry did not stop, what should Alfred have done?

Some Secrets Should Never Be Kept Why didn't Alfred tell his mother about the touching and tickling straightaway? How might Alfred have been feeling?

Some Secrets Should Never Be Kept Should Alfred have told his mother straightway?

Some Secrets Should Never Be Kept Should anyone tickle or touch you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable? If they do, what should you do?

Some Secrets Should Never Be Kept Say “NO!” Say it loud and clear Get a trusted adult

Some Secrets Should Never Be Kept Sometimes there are good secrets, such as not telling your best friend about a surprise party planned for them, or not telling your brother or sister about a present your parents brought them. But sometimes there are bad secrets, such as someone touching you private parts. A secret such as this should never ever be kept. If someone tells you to keep a bad secret, what should you do?

Resource People in School & Community Who can you tell or go to for help? Any Trusted Adult

Resources Standards & Indicators are adapted from the SC Comprehensive School Counseling Model "Some Secrets Should Never Be Kept"" By: Jayneen Sanders "Do You Have a Secret?" By: Jennifer Moore-Mallinos "I Said No!" A kid-to-kid guide to keeping private parts private! By: Zack & Kimberly King
