Review Week 1 to 3 Roots

3-Types of Root Words Combine them to create Constructed Words

#1 What information does a base word provide to a constructed word? The Base Word provides the “main idea / meaning” of the overall constructed word.

They all provide main ideas! #2 Which of the Week 1-3 Word Roots are Base Words? hydro- chrono- sta-/stas-/stat- /-sist/ -stant viv-/vit- form- They all provide main ideas!

#3 In week 1-3, which is the only base word that can stand alone without a prefix or suffix? form can stand alone and still mean: shape, appearance or to shape
