The WISE Summit will explore how collaboration can become the driving force behind efforts to inspire innovation in education and to design long-term strategies for its renewal. Over 1,000 practitioners, decision makers and thought leaders from multiple sectors and more than 100 countries will come together, November 13 - 15, in Doha, Qatar, to share ideas under the theme “Collaborating for Change”. Attendees will participate in thematic plenary sessions, debates, collaborative workshops and focus sessions. 2012 WISE Awards Honor Six Novel Projects This year one of the WISE Awards is for a project that, in addition to transforming education, has best provided innovative financing of primary education. Drawing funding from multiple sources, Solar-Powered Floating Schools offers uninterrupted schooling to children in flood-prone areas of Bangladesh, including during the monsoon season.
