Campfire News Around the Campfire Week of February 25-March 1 Camp Spanish Phrase of the Week is: Gracias por tu ayuda (Thanks for your help) Inquiry into Math: We will practice representing and solving addition and subtraction word problems, within 20, with unknowns. We will have LOTS of practice with this topic this week!!! We will draw models and work out our thinking!!! Inquiry into Literacy: This week is all about Dr. Seuss!!! We will have some fun exploring several of his popular books, including: Cat in the Hat, Oh the Places You’ll Go and more!!! Letterland Unit 20: We will learn about long e in the ea digraph.  This is the second pair of the Vowel Men Out Walking. Writer’s Workshop: We will practice trying to write some fun rhymes like Dr. Seuss Inquiry into Science: We will explore the importance of a push or pull to change the motion of an object. Inquiry into Social Studies: We will use geographic tools to identify characteristics of various landforms and bodies of water.and give examples showing location of places (home, classroom, school and community).
