Background CTA has been developed in 1997 … and it shows it! Uses an Oracle technology not supported anymore (Oracle Designer) Very hard to customize & improve The interface is not very user friendly for our 2005 standards 2/9

Goals Improve interface Add new functionalities Emails, Web Site, Reporting, External Training, … Move back to supported technologies Clean up unused functionalities Offers, Suppliers, … Streamline procedures 3/9

Phases Phase One Move CTA2 in production Phase Two Recreate & Improve existing CTA functionalities Move CTA2 in production Import latest data from CTA Phase Two Add new features and create new tools 4/9

Work Done Recreated all used CTA functionalities Added new features Supported Oracle HTMLDB platform Identified unused functionalities Improved management procedures Added new features Emails Resources Management Web Site (?) 5/9

Process 6 months Imported “live” data twice Focus on the Users: 16 meetings with users 12 CTA2 test versions deployed 6/9

Production To put CTA2 into production we need: Import “live” CTA data Switch on emails & financial transactions Coordinate with other projects (EDH, HRT, …) to let them point to CTA2 From then on the old CTA won’t be usable anymore. ? Next Monday October 31th ? 7/9

Phase Two Many things remain to be discussed, decided and done Web Site Reporting External Training Camilla will leave December 16th! AIS won’t be able to provide the same level of support afterwards. 8/9
