Presentation transcript:

Tuesday 1/8/19 Bell Ringer: Examine the picture to the right. What two spheres do you think are responsible for carving this pond into the rock (geosphere)? Where would the energy come from to cause this?

EARTH SYSTEM SYSTEM = A GROUP OF PARTS THAT WORK TOGETHER AS A WHOLE. The Earth system involves a constant cycling of matter through the different parts.

ENERGY = Ability to do work Energy causes the cycling of matter on Earth TWO MAIN SOURCES Heat from the sun Heat flowing out of earth as it cools

Earth System Poster & Questions If not finished by end of class the poster and questions are homework that are due tomorrow. Complete your poster Review the directions and page of questions before you continue working. Remember you need to give examples you see in the photo and ones you can infer are there. When you finish the poster you then must work on the questions on the back of the direction page. Use the notes we took today and the reading pages (4-7) to help you. When you are finished- staple the direction/question page to the BACK of your poster and put in the cupboard.
