Are we friends on Facebook? Many people have either a cellphone or an active social media account. According to a study conducted by the Pew Research Center in 2015 In the year 2000, 53 out of 100 people had a cellphone, in 2015, 92 out of 100 people had a cellphone.

Are we Friends continue This easy access to technology has allowed people to stay more connect to friends and family. Does this technology that we use effect our interpersonal connections that we have?

Ownership of a Social Media or Mobile Device According to my results most people have a social media and or mobile device. Everyone that took my survey had at least one mobile device and all but four participates had a social media.

Why We Get On Starting my research I thought that people got on a social media to stay connected. However, I have come to the conclusion that we use social media because we are bored, as well as connecting

People get bored 104 out of 122 people said that they get online because they are bored. A main reason people use their mobile devices in public is because they need stimulation. If people get bored they want something that will pass time along.

People do not want to be rude People do not want to be perceived as rude. However, they have no intentions of talking to people around them. So to avoid people they can use their mobile device.

Is This The End of Face-to-Face Communication No. There will always be a need for face-to-face interaction. However, While more and more people get and use mobile devices. Yes, social medias and mobile devices have made it easier to communicate to people far away. People do use their mobile device to avoid talking. People use social medias and mobile devices to combat boredom.

Is This The End… Continue People will rely on others in times of stress. Social medias and mobile devices will only get better. However, people are not going any where any time soon.
