Background Department of Finance The Schedule of Taxes, Fees, and Charges is reviewed annually Annual adjustments based on CPI of All Urban Consumers – Los Angeles/Riverside/Orange Counties FY 2015 CPI = 0.54% (FY 2014 CPI = 2.22%) Includes 4th year of 30% abatement credit for contractor’s license fees Distinction between Schedule of Taxes, Fees, and Charges and the General Fee Schedule: Schedule of Taxes, Fees, and Charges set by Municipal Code General Fee Schedule set by City Council Resolution Staff will review the Contracting and Building Trades Annual Tax Abatement during FY 2015 and will have recommendations during the FY 2016 budget process.

Recommendation Adjusted fees effective July 1, 2014 except: Department of Finance Adjusted fees effective July 1, 2014 except: Grandstand Permit Application Tax, Rose Bowl Admission Tax, and Grandstand Seat Surcharge rates which became effective February 1, 2014 and will remain the same amount until February 1, 2015. Staff is not recommending change to any tax rate which is based on percentage to conform with Proposition 218. Close the public hearing and adopt the FY 2015 Recommended Schedule of Taxes, Fees, and Charges
