Supplemental Digital Content 2 – Figure 1 Supplemental Digital Content 2 – Figure 1. Gating strategy for identification of regulatory T cells. Showing one representative viremic individual. Identification of singlets using forward scatter area (FSC-A) versus height (FCS-H) plot (A). Subsequently, lymphocytes were identified through a side scatter area (SSC-A) versus FSC-A plot (B), followed by exclusion of dead cells (C) and identification of CD3+CD4+ events (D). Finally CD25+ events (E) and CD127lowFoxP3+ events (F) were identified on the CD3+CD4+ events. By applying the gate defining CD25+ events onto the CD127lowFoxP3+ events a combination of E and F was used for Treg definition; CD25+CD127lowFoxP3+ events within the CD3+CD4+ events.
