Unit 2: Cells.
A Tour Through the Living Cell 7 th Grade. Two Types of Cells  All living things are made of cells.  All cells can be put into two groups: animal cells.
Nucleolus Makes ribosomes in the nucleus. Chromatin  Contains DNA; coils into chromosomes.
Cell Organelles The Elite 11.
Cells By: Aspen Pennington.
 Both animal and plant cells have cell membranes that enclose the cell  The cell membrane holds the cell together.
Animal Cell e. cytoplasm a. vacuole m. centriole i. Cell membrane
The Cell Revisited! THE CELL IS THE BASIC UNIT OF ALL LIFE!
Functions of Cell Organelles.  1. nucleus - controls all cell activities  2. endoplasmic reticulum - (ER)network of passageways, carries materials within.
Cell Review-Organelles. Looking Inside Cells Organelles: – Smaller structures inside the cell – Carry out specific functions for the cell.
Created by : Jayla Williams 4/18/11. The nucleus is like a brain because the brain controls the body like the nucleus controls the cell.
Systems In Living Things Animal Cells. Parts of a Cell Organelles- Organelles are the structures in every living cell that perform the specialized functions.
Cell Theory All organisms are made of one or more cells. The cell is the basic unit of all living things. All cells come from existing cells.

Cell Project By Luke Simmons

Nucleus The Nucleus of the Computer is the CPU The CPU is the brain Of the computer as The nucleus is the Brain of the cell.

Cell Membrane The Cell membrane of a Computer is the computer Shell. This metal covering Protects the computer’s Insides.

Ribosome A ribosome of a computer Is a chip. Ribosome are small Particles of RNA the data of a cell Chips hold the data of a computer.

Lysosomes The Lysosome in a computer Is Anti-Virus Software. The anti Virus software repels virus’ Much like a Lysosome Digests viruses.

Mitochondria The Mitochondria of a Computer is the power supply. The Mitochondria provide energy, much like the electric plug does to the computer.

Vacuole The Vacuole of a computer is the hard drive. The hard drive in a computer stores data, like a vacuole stores food for the cell.

Cytoplasm The cytoplasm of a Computer is the motherboard. The motherboard holds all the chips, And allows all the pieces to work together.

Golgi The Golgi in a computer are the folders in the computer. these folders package data to be used later, much like a Golgi does.

E.R. The E.R. in a computer is Cables, Wires and Circuits. The Cables transport signals Throughout the computer, much Like an E.R. transports proteins Through the cell.
