Light snow is forecast to begin falling from 8-11PM tonight. The snow will intensify by the Wednesday morning commute. A heavy snow will combine with strong winds for much of Wednesday morning and afternoon. The central mountains, Susquehanna Valley, and northeast mountains have the potential for 12 inches or more of snow. * TIMING...Snow will move into southern PA Tuesday evening and into northern PA later. The snow will rapidly cover the entire area before midnight. The heaviest snow will occur Tuesday night through midday Wednesday. * IMPACTS...The heavy snow will make many roads impassable and may produce widespread power outages due to the weight of the snow on tree limbs and power lines. * WINDS...Northeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
