Is the Bible still relevant today?

Lesson Objectives To describe and explain some of the teachings from the Bible. To reflect on the consequences of living according to a Bible teaching. To reflect on whether the Bible is still relevant today.

‘The Bible is still relevant today!’ Red – The Bible is out of date and not relevant today at all. Amber – I’m unsure if the Bible is still relevant today. Green – The Bible is definitely still relevant today.

Task 1 You will be given some sort cards with different Bible teachings written on them. Sort the cards into 2 piles: 1) Teachings you agree with. 2) Teachings you disagree with. To describe and explain some of the teachings from the Bible. To reflect on the consequences of living according to a Bible teaching. To reflect on whether the Bible is still relevant today.

Task 2 Carefully put aside the pile of cards with the teachings you disagree with. Take the pile of cards with the sayings that you do agree with.
