A model to demonstrate that endotension is a nonvisualized type I endoleak  Stuart Blackwood, MD, Doran Mix, MD, Ankur Chandra, MD, Alan M. Fig 2 Comparison of systemic pressure waveforms and resultant sac pressure waveforms achieved throughout all three scenarios. Journal of Vascular Surgery 2016 64, 779-787DOI: (10.1016/j.jvs.2015.04.422) Copyright © 2016 Society for Vascular Surgery Terms and Conditions

Fig 3 Comparison of flow recorded by high-speed flowmeter for all three scenarios tested. When no endoleak is present, the net flow is 0 as recorded by motion artifact in the flowmeter (black waveform). Flow is biphasic in nature coexistent with the pulsatile nature of the model. Net flow is anterograde into the sac when inflow and outflow endoleaks are both present (dark gray), and there is no net flow when only inflow endoleak is present (light gray). Fig 4 Summary of visibility findings. A, Time to visualization of endoleaks in scenario B with a comparison of standard angiography and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) is shown. B, Time to visualization endoleaks in scenario B and visual inspection is correlated to the measured region of interest (ROI) gray density units on angiography. C, Visibility of scenario C using standard angiography and DSA imaging is shown. D, Delayed imaging is shown of scenarios B and C as measured by the ROI measurement of the aneurysm sac.
