Raid – is a surprised and violent attack on enemy positions, installation followed by swift and organized withdrawal.

TWO TYPES OF RAID 1.  Hasty Raid is a IAD in response to an expected meeting at close range with an enemy force. 2.  Deliberate Raid is one that is planned against an specific target.

Reconnaissance – is conducted before the execution of raid. This guides the leader the disposition of raiding team, the routes of withdrawal, and rallying points. It is conducted with utmost secrecy to prevent the enemy from being compromised.

Planning and Rehearsal 1. A detailed but simple plan should be prepared. Alternate plan are provided for in case of changes in situation. 2. Time and space factor are carefully considered. The time for movement to and attack of the objective is determined by current enemy situation and terrain.

Planning and Rehearsal 3. Complete rehearsal from the movement to the objective up to the return to a friendly area should be conducted whenever possible in a similar terrain. 4. Maximum secrecy must be maintained

Planning and Rehearsal 5. Intelligence – maximum available intelligence on the target enemy forces 6. Final inspection – the raid force commander concludes a final inspection of personnel and equipment.

How to Conduct Raid 1. Leaders must conduct reconnaissance and put 24 hrs surveillance on the target or objective area to the time of attack 2.  Always rehearse all the element of raiding team.

Always strike quickly to gain surprise. How to Conduct Raid Always strike quickly to gain surprise. Do not used the same route for withdrawal. 5. Always organized and count personnel at rallying point and continue withdrawal.
