Presentation transcript:

How can teamwork help in a difficult situation? In this unit, you’ll explore how people from all walks of life work together in teams to meet challenges, some of which involve the ultimate challenge: survival. You’ll find out what it is like to be stranded in the icy seas of Antarctica, discover how people train to survive in space, learn how ordinary people can become heroes in times of need, and, a bit closer to home, find out how family members need to work together, whether playing an unexpectedly dangerous board game or going on a camping trip. When have you worked as a member of team? If you were facing danger, would you rather be alone or have others to rely on? C. Thomas, 5th Grade, Fairmont Charter School
